CPF launched our first ever citywide volunteer park clean-up initiative in 2020. Thanks to outstanding community enthusiasm, the effort has quickly grown and we have supported thousands of volunteers in hundreds of clean-up events!

<h3>Want to host a Pitch In For The Parks clean-up?</h3>
As a PIFTP host, you'll independently lead small volunteer groups in 1-2 hour trash pick-ups at your convenience.&nbsp;

You serve as the point of contact.&nbsp;

<li aria-level="1">
You pick the park and date(s).
</li>
<li aria-level="1">
Get friends and family registered to volunteer with you.&nbsp;
</li>
<li aria-level="1">
Optional: CPF can list your clean-up(s) as public events on our platform so that additional volunteers can register.

<li aria-level="1">
In advance of your event(s), CPF delivers complimentary supplies to you,&nbsp; a bucket with trash bags and gloves.&nbsp;
</li>
<li aria-level="1">
You lead the clean-up(s) independently and report back to us as needed for support!

<h3>Interested in joining a clean-up as a volunteer, rather than hosting one?</h3>
Public clean-up groups seeking participants are listed below under "Opportunities" for registration. Some participating parks will kick off early with a special <a href="https://chicagoparksfoundation.givepulse.com/group/651872" target="_blank" rel="noopener">It's Your Park Day</a> event on Saturday, May 30th. Then, all PIFTP clean-ups continue citywide June 1st through October 31st.
